Assessments
Children and young people can demonstrate difficulties in thinking skills and behaviour for a variety of different reasons.
Depending on concerns raised for each individual, generally a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment involves approximately 3 hours of 1:1 assessment. We begin with a clinical interview (1 hour) with a parent or guardian prior to assessment to understand the observed difficulties, developmental/medical history, school reports and any previous or current interventions. In addition, selective parent and teacher questionaries may be distributed for completion prior to assessment.
After a comprehensive cognitive assessment is complete a follow-up feedback appointment can be scheduled (generally approximately 2 weeks after assessment). A comprehensive detailed report with results and recommendations will be supplied during follow up session.
